Here you will find the FAQ section where I answer the most commonly asked questions on YouTube. I will update this page as new questions get asked, but keep in mind that not all questions will make it onto here.
Q: What screen recorder do you use?
A: I use BBFlaskBack Pro to record my screen. If you want there is a free version called BBflashBack Express. It is sort of like CamStudio, but you won't need to download the Lossless codec. However the express version does not include Zoom and pan effects.
Q: Where do you get your wallpapers from?
A: Deviant Art & Interface lift is where I get most of my wallpapers from. Some of them I make myself though. Really have a good look around the web, there are tons of free wallpaper sites out there.
Q: What is your ObjectDock Theme and where did you get it from?
A: I got my ObjectDock theme from Deviantart as well as all the icons I use.
Q: How did you get your desktop organised like that?
A: I use a Freeware program called Stardock Fences which is made by the same people who are behind making ObjectDock.
Q: How did you get the banner above the video description on your videos?
A: For that you have to be either a YouTube Partner, or sign up for the YouTube non-profit programme. There is currently no way non partners can use the video page banner feature. I assume YouTube will allow all users to have that feature in a future update.
Q: How much do you earn with Partnership?
A: Not much really, some people are under the impression that you earn lots of money, when in fact it's only a a few pounds a week.
Q: When do you get paid with Partnership?
A: When/if I reach the Payment threshold at the end of each month. For example, say the threshold is about £100, if I do not earn £100 by the end of the month, the payment is carried over along with what I've earned to the next month. The process keeps repeating it's self until I get paid, and then it starts off again. The threshold varies by where you live. In the UK it should be £60. In the US I think it is $100US.
Q: How do you record your game play videos?
A: I use fraps to record them, and since I am on Vista it allows me to both record my voice, and the sound from the game. It takes a while to get the settings right though.
Q: Are you going to be getting a Mac soon?
A: I already own an eMac but it has since broken down, I'm hoping to get a Mac book or iMac one day. It's just having the money. And money is a hard thing to come by these days.
Q: On Your dock how did you make the icons reflect?
A: I use a freeware program called M-Reflect Icon it's a good program to use since all you do is drag and drop images into it, and then it will automatically reflect them for you.
Q: What software do you use for the blog?
A: At home I use Windows Live writer, in college I have to stick with the online editior since I do not have access to a portable version of Windows Live writer. If anyone knows a way of making Windows live writer portable, send me an email here.
Q: How did you make your blog look like that?
A: I used the beta version of the Blogger Dashboard it's called Blogger in draft and it allows me to select professional looking templates and it also allows me to add pages such as this FAQ page.
Q: How did you make your video page banner?
A: I used Photoshop, it takes about 5 minutes to make. You can access a video tutorial here.
