I recently downloaded the spotify app on my iPod touch because the app was free. I like using spotify on my computer and I thought it would be a nice thing to have on my iPod.
However when I singed into spotify on my iPod touch I get the following message:
Why? When the app store says the app is free. The screen shot below is proof.
What I don’t understand is why they say that the app was free in the first place. Surely they could have said on the app store that it was £10 a month. But lets be honest here, spotify for iPod touch is expensive, you need an internet connection (offline mode isn’t available on the iPod touch) and honestly there is no point when you can listen to music for free on your iPod it’s self.
I’m not saying that spotify “free” on the computer is bad, I actually think it’s a good application to have. However it still needs an internet connection, unless your willing to pay £10 a month just to get offline access.
Like I said I prefer spotify on the computer. Please note that I said iPod touch, this was done intentionally to see if people even care about the iPod touch. To be honest, I’m not paying £10 a month to listen to music when I can buy an Album from Asda for a one of payment of £10. Also I’m not surprised it got low ratings, information like that shouldn’t be in the small print.
Does spotify on the iPod Touch require premium if you are connected to wi-fi?
ReplyDeletei have spotify on my itouch, and its fantastic. yes you have to pay £10 a month, but for unlimited music. and you don't have to be in a wifi area for you to be able to listen to your newly made playlists, aslong as you switch them to offline they will play when you have no internet. although to search and add songs to your playlist you do have to have an internet connection. i think its fab, i got 200 songs within a day of getting my itouch, all through spotify and all for £10 a month. beat that itunes!
